BroadbandOne and Intracom Telecom target enterprises with Gigabit FWA
BroadbandOne, a growing enterprise connectivity provider, and Intracom Telecom have struck a partnership to expand their broadband points of presence across Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida. The initiative is based on Intracom Telecom’s 28 GHz multi-gigabit mmWave Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology and BroadbandOne’s service model. BroadbandOne’s rollout delivers gigabit connectivity for business customers, especially in areas where traditional fiber is limited or cost-prohibitive. Intracom Telecom’s technology can connect subscribers with download speeds up to 2.4 Gbps and reach beyond 5 miles from the cell center. Each Intracom Telecom WiBAS\u2122 G5 Smart Base Station radio offers a 5.6 Gbps capacity and serves 120 subscribers, featuring hierarchical QoS and high service availability. The deployment strategy supports BroadbandOne’s Telco as a Service (TaaS) model, a fully managed solution that gives enterprises scalable, carrier-grade connectivity without the burden of owning and maintaining network infrastructure.<\/p>\n

TDS Telecom has officially marked the end of major construction activities on its all-fiber internet network in Whitewater, Wisconsin. The company designated Whitewater as a \u201cTDS Fiber-Fast Community\u201d recently, featuring representatives from the City of Whitewater and Whitewater Chamber of Commerce. Over 5,300 City of Whitewater addresses have access to TDS\u2019s network, which features speeds up to 8 Gbps. After starting construction in 2023, TDS crews and contractors buried over 50 miles of fiber-optic cable. TDS has made a total capital investment in Whitewater of over $5 million. The project, which was privately funded, is part of TDS\u2019s transformation into a fiber-centric company. unWired Broadband recently cut the ribbon on its NextGen Fiber<\/a> network in Wasco, CA. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, which took place on September 25, was attended by executives from unWired Broadband, their contractor partners at Crown Communications Engineering, and local officials from the City of Wasco, Kern County Board of Supervisors, the office of Congressman David Valadao, and the office of CA Assemblywoman Jasmeet Kaur Bains. Installations have already begun in select neighborhoods, and the project is on track for full completion by February 2026.<\/p>\n
