{"id":176833,"date":"2025-10-03T06:11:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-03T06:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/176833\/"},"modified":"2025-10-03T06:11:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T06:11:07","slug":"in-mission-mode-for-critical-tech","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/176833\/","title":{"rendered":"In mission mode for critical tech"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For decades, India\u2019s brightest young minds often dreamed of working on technologies that seemed out of reach\u2014chips, rockets, quantum computers. <\/p>\n<p>Those dreams are no longer distant. <\/p>\n<p>Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they are turning into reality, stitched into a national story of confidence and self-reliance. <\/p>\n<p>Modi has often said that \u201cscience and innovation are the pillars of Viksit Bharat\u201d, and his government has treated this not as a rhetoric but as a roadmap. <\/p>\n<p>In the first 100 days of his third term, we saw decisions that spoke of intent: a \u20b91,000-crore fund for space startups, the National Biomanufacturing Policy (BioE3) to build a sustainable bioeconomy, and new systems to strengthen weather forecasting through space and IT integration. <\/p>\n<p>These moves, bold yet practical, signalled that India is not waiting for the world\u2019s future, it is shaping its own. Few things capture this better than semiconductors. <\/p>\n<p>For most Indians, a chip is invisible\u2014it sits inside the phone, the car, the satellite. <\/p>\n<p>But in today\u2019s world, semiconductors are power. They decide whether supply chains survive, whether economies thrive, whether nations remain secure. <\/p>\n<p>For too long, India depended on others for this power.
