\n Building on an impressive amateur career, where he won multiple titles and fought 198 times, the 26-year-old has been steadily making his mark in the pro ranks.\n<\/p>\n
\n Last Saturday he made it two-out-of-two victories as a professional fighter, defeating fellow Brit Jack Swallow in a super flyweight showdown at Sheffield\u2019s Park Community Arena. Incidentally, the arena itself is a stone\u2019s throw away from where Akbar trains at the Steel City Gym under the guidance of Grant Smith.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Bradfordian put on a dominant and professional display to win 40-36 on points by claiming all four rounds at 10-9. The bout was part of the undercard for the main event between Ben Crocker and Sean McComb.\n<\/p>\n
\n This victory means Akbar now boasts two wins since turning professional earlier this year in 2025.\n<\/p>\n
\n His first pro win came in May, another points victory over Octavian Gratii. As his confidence and experience continue to grow within the professional ranks, many expect Akbar to become a force to be reckoned with in the super flyweight division.\n<\/p>\n
\n Given the sheer volume of experience he amassed in the amateur ranks, few would bet against the Bradford man enjoying a bright future at this level of boxing.\n<\/p>\n
