Mike Tyson<\/a> and Floyd Mayweather<\/a> are set to meet in a shock exhibition match-up next year.<\/p>\n

It was reported last month that the two boxing legends have agreed to a bout in 2026, with further details expected to be released in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Tyson was last in action in November 2024 when he had a controversial clash with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul,<\/a> while Mayweather has been involved in a number of exhibitions since ending his professional career in 2017.<\/p>\n

Many boxing figures have already had their say on the proposed Tyson vs. Mayweather bout<\/a>, and now former unified welterweight world champion Keith Thurman<\/a> has had his say.<\/p>\n

Speaking to FightHype<\/a>, Thurman broke down the upcoming clash, admitting that while it isn\u2019t what he fully wants, he has some intrigue by it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe world wants to know what does it look like for Floyd to block a Mike Tyson punch. Forget getting hit clean in the face but a lot of people want to see it. A lot of people want to see Mike Tyson punch Floyd Mayweather, but we just want to see the size difference.<\/p>\n

\u201cFloyd is going to be faster and agile, but when he\u2019s on the inside and he tries to hold like he did in his division, it\u2019s not going to be easy to just wrap up Mike Tyson, he\u2019s such a bigger man.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not completely my cup of tea if I\u2019m being honest, but this is entertainment. If you like it, watch it, if you don\u2019t, go do something else on Saturday night.\u201d<\/p>\n
