A young woman faced a barrage of abusive messages from the Manchester synagogue attacker<\/a> following their on-off relationship.<\/p>\n

Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, was shot dead by armed officers after committing the attack at the Heaton Park<\/a> Hebrew Congregation synagogue on Thursday morning (October 2) during Yom Kippur.<\/p>\n

Two men – Melvin Cravitz, 66, and Adrian Daulby, 53 – died during the attack and four others were injured<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A former partner, who says she was ‘groomed’ and had extreme views pushed onto her by Al-Shamie, spoke to the Manchester Evening News after realising he had committed the attack.<\/p>\n

She claims her ex-partner – who she met on the Muslim dating app Muzmatch – told her to ‘be dedicated to the cause’ as he showed her ‘extreme videos’.<\/p>\n

She says he ‘stalked’ her near her work and her home, was messaging other girls while in a relationship with her and had worrying conversations about his ‘rape fantasies’ and desire to ‘join ISIS’ – something she never thought he was serious about.<\/p>\n

The woman, who has since left the country, told the M.E.N. she had deleted almost all memories of their relationship – including photographs – but she still had some messages on her phone from Al-Shamie.<\/p>\n

The conversations included abusive messages he sent to her on the Revolut banking app following their break-up.<\/p>\n

In a string of sick messages, he said: “We had a good year or so. I enjoyed destroying you hundreds of times. In your prime.”<\/p>\n

He also wrote: “Your (sic) so childish. Unblock me. And give me ur snap like I asked.”<\/p>\n

The M.E.N. has also heard a controlling voice note he sent to the woman while they were still in a relationship, when she claims he was trying to get her to lose weight.<\/p>\n

“Your main issue is, because you don’t eat, your metabolism is slow,” he said, telling the woman ‘what you need to do’ before giving dieting suggestions.<\/p>\n

“Don’t start the day with Red Bull,” he said. “Have some real food… Don’t start your day or have lunch, or skip all your meals and only have sugary drinks. That’s what’s causing a lot of issues.”<\/p>\n

The woman told the M.E.N.: “He used to say weird stuff. “It was just insane.
