Jaron \u201cBoots\u201d Ennis will make the move up from welterweight to super welterweight on October 11, when he faces Uisma Lima in a title eliminator in Ennis\u2019 hometown of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n
Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn says he sees Ennis (34-0, 30 KO) as a future pound-for-pound king, who will win world titles at both super welterweight and middleweight in the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve seen all the top fighters. I truly believe that Jaron Ennis is the pound-for-pound number one in waiting. I\u2019m not talking about (in) three years, I\u2019m talking about 12 months,\u201d Hearn said<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think this guy\u2019s going to go through this division, move up to 160, three-weight world champion. I think he\u2019s the guy to replace Terence Crawford. I think he\u2019s that good.\u201d<\/p>\n Hearn also says that the fight with Lima is tougher than critics believe, although part of Hearn\u2019s job is to convince people of that ahead of time, and he does know that people want to see Ennis face bigger names.<\/p>\n \u201cI know people talk about \u2014 Lima is a good fight. This is not an easy fight to go into at 154,\u201d he said. \u201cBut after this fight we want Vergil Ortiz, we want (Bakhram) Murtazaliev, we want (Sebastian) Fundora. He will beat them all.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve just got to make sure we get those fights, but I\u2019m very excited to see him perform at 154. Everyone I speak to is, like, \u2018My God, just wait to see what you are about to witness.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
