Prime Day<\/a> isn\u2019t the only place to save money this week — Starlink\u2019s satellite internet service<\/a>\u00a0 is now offering hefty discounts on nearly all of its plans and equipment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company breaks its service up into two tiers that come with different equipment: Residential and Roam. There are two Residential plans, both of which use Starlink\u2019s Standard Kit. According to Starlink<\/a>, the Residential Lite plan gets you \u201ctypical download speeds\u201d between 80 and 200Mbps, while the Residential plan increases that to between 135 and more than 305Mbps.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both satellite dishes are heavily discounted right now: $260 off the Standard Kit and $200 off the Starlink Mini. Aside from a brief period in July where the Standard Kit was available for free<\/a>, this is the cheapest I\u2019ve ever seen Starlink equipment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Right now, the Residential plan is discounted to $85 for the first year from its usual price of $120. There\u2019s a bit of conflicting information on the Residential Lite discount. A banner on Starlink\u2019s website says that Residential Lite is available in select areas for $59 per month for one year, but when I put in a few addresses, the price I saw at checkout was $49. A representative for Starlink did not immediately respond to my request for clarification on the price. The Standard Kit is currently $260 off for both Residential plans.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Residential Lite plan is discounted to $49 per month when I entered an address, but a banner on Starlink\u2019s homepage shows a price of $59.<\/p>\n

The other bracket of Starlink plans is Roam service, which is designed for customers who won\u2019t be using the satellite dish at one fixed location. Roam plans use the smaller, more lightweight Starlink Mini Kit, which is now available for $299 — a discount of $200 off the list price. Unlike the Residential plans, the monthly price for Roam plans remains the same.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As always with Starlink\u2019s frequent deals, offers vary by location. There\u2019s also no telling how long this one will stick around for. The satellite internet provider promoted a flurry<\/a> of<\/a> deals<\/a> over the summer, and many of them were gone within a few weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But Starlink discounts have become such a routine occurrence in 2025 that I\u2019d recommend waiting until a worthy deal comes around rather than pay full price. This one is the worthiest I\u2019ve seen yet.\u00a0<\/p>\n
