{"id":183335,"date":"2025-10-07T13:21:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-07T13:21:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/183335\/"},"modified":"2025-10-07T13:21:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T13:21:12","slug":"sources-fiber-internet-cut-again-in-kunduz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/183335\/","title":{"rendered":"Sources: Fiber internet cut again in Kunduz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fiber-optic internet services have been cut off again in the northern province of Kunduz, local sources told Amu on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to three sources, the disruption began late Monday night, following an order from local Taliban officials instructing service providers to suspend fiber connections until further notice.<\/p>\n<p>Kunduz was among 17 provinces where fiber-optic internet was cut off by the Taliban in late September, which was followed by nationwide blackout on Sept. 29. <\/p>\n<p>The sources said that \u201cpoint-to-point\u201d connections \u2014 a limited form of internet service used by some private users and offices \u2014 remain active, though speeds are unstable.<\/p>\n<p>Taliban have not issued any official explanation for the renewed shutdown.<\/p>\n<p>The outage comes just days after the restoration of nationwide internet services, which had been completely cut for 48 hours in late September on the orders of Taliban leaders.
