WESTPORT, CT \u2014 Comcast has begun construction in Westport to connect nearly 12,000 homes and businesses in town to its high-speed Xfinity Internet service, the company announced. <\/p>\n
Xfinity brings Internet, mobile, entertainment, and smart home services into one solution \u2014 promising customers “more speed, savings, and control over their connected lives.” <\/p>\n
“Westport will join the more than 64 million homes and businesses nationwide with access to a network that fuels innovation, productivity, and everyday connection,” company officials said in a statement. <\/p>\n
Added state Rep. Jonathan Steinberg, Chair of the House Energy and Technology Committee, “Westport is pleased that Xfinity and Comcast Business services are coming to our community, providing residents and businesses with more options for high-speed fiber connectivity and mobile phone service.”<\/p>\n

Residents can visit Xfinity.com\/mytown<\/a> and enter their address for additional details on construction timelines and upcoming service availability.
