A stud fee will be announced later.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Patch Adams had a straightforward lateral condylar fracture in his right hind that went back together extremely well, and he can race or breed without any notice of the fracture in 2026,&#8221; said Dr. Larry Bramlage of Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. &#8220;He has an excellent prognosis.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The well-bred son of perennial leading sire <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodhorse.com\/stallion-register\/stallions\/130614\" title=\"Into Mischief | StallionRegister.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Into Mischief<\/a>\u00a0<a rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" class=\"equinelineLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.equineline.com\/dotReportProductSelectionDisplay.cfm?horse_name=Into+Mischief&amp;YOB=2005&amp;breed_type=TB&amp;horse_type=I&amp;ASCID=1443262\" title=\"EquineLine Reports for Into Mischief\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>\u00a0<a class=\"contentIcon-premium\" data-fancybox=\"\" data-type=\"iframe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhorse.com\/horse-racing\/horses\/card\/7436720\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> quickly developed into one of the nation&#8217;s premier sprinters during his sophomore season under the tutelage of trainer Brad Cox. The colt dominated over the summer at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhorse.com\/horse-racing\/racetracks\/24\/saratoga-race-course\" title=\"Saratoga Race Course | BloodHorse.com Track Profile\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saratoga Race Course<\/a>, reeling off back-to-back grade 1 victories. He impressively captured both the Woody Stephens Stakes\u00a0(G1) and the H. Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes\u00a0(G1), solidifying his status at the top of the division.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The speed and heart he showed in the H. Allen Jerkens Memorial not only established himself as the leading 3-year-old sprinter in the country, but drew a lot of attention from the breeding public and solidified our decision to stand him in 2026,&#8221; said Elliott Walden, president, CEO, and racing manager of WinStar Farm. &#8220;While he could still run at 4, we have made the difficult decision to stick with our original plan to retire him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a thrilling renewal of the H. Allen Jerkens Memorial in August, Patch Adams raced within easy striking distance of the lead in the early going. Inside the final furlong of the 7-furlong fixture, he launched a fierce challenge to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhorse.com\/horse-racing\/thoroughbred\/captain-cook\/2022\" title=\"Captain Cook - Horse Profile - BloodHorse.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Captain Cook<\/a>\u00a0<a class=\"contentIcon-premium\" data-fancybox=\"\" data-type=\"iframe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhorse.com\/horse-racing\/horses\/card\/11106507\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">. He unleashed a powerful drive in the upper stretch, took command with about a furlong remaining, and drew clear late from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhorse.com\/horse-racing\/thoroughbred\/madaket-road\/2022\" title=\"Madaket Road - Horse Profile - BloodHorse.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Madaket Road<\/a>\u00a0<a class=\"contentIcon-premium\" data-fancybox=\"\" data-type=\"iframe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodhorse.com\/horse-racing\/horses\/card\/11119416\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> to win by a convincing 2 1\/4\u00a0lengths.
