London Broncos have announced a statement signing in their bid of Super League, with an NRL veteran set to make the move to the English capital.<\/p>\n

Now under the leadership of Darren Lockyer, the former Australian halfback had previously announced his intentions to bring in some big NRL names<\/a>, and today the club have confirmed the first of many new incomings.<\/p>\n

Reagan Campbell-Gillard has been tipped with a switch to England for the last couple of months, however those rumours died down once the 32-year-old provided an update on his future<\/a>, saying he wanted to stay at current club Gold Coast Titans and remain in the NRL.<\/p>\n

However, the Titans, who brought former Leeds Rhinos boss Brian McDermott<\/a> to the club last week, are currently going through a larger clear-out of the squad, as salary cap issues, combined with new head coach, meaning that the Australian has been shown the exit door.<\/p>\n

The ex-New South Wales prop brings a wealth of experience to the Broncos, having played just short of 250 NRL games, and 16 representative games including at Origin and international level.<\/p>\n

It it believed that Campbell-Gillard has signed a two-year contract, in what is likely to be the final club switch of his esteemed career. The former Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers prop will be hoping to be part of the Super League competition next year, with London\u2019s place in the top flight yet to be officially confirmed.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his move to the Broncos<\/a>, he spoke on the history of his new club and how he can\u2019t wait to be part of, what hopes to be, a successful rebuild that will take London back to the top of Super League.<\/p>\n

He said:\u00a0\u201cLondon is an incredible city and the Broncos are a club with a proud history. The chance to help build something special here, at such an important moment for the game in the UK, was too good to turn down.\u201d<\/p>\n
