Chelsea are rumoured to have looked at Jack Grealish before his move from Manchester City to Everton in the summer.<\/p>\n

Chelsea<\/a> made several additions to their attack during the last transfer window, bringing in Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens and Facundo Buonanotte.<\/p>\n

Estevao Willian also arrived at Stamford Bridge<\/a> after agreeing to join the Blues last year. Estevao really impressed in Brazil<\/a> and is now shining in England, recently scoring Chelsea\u2019s winning goal against Liverpool.<\/p>\n

On top of the above names, though, it looks like the Club World Cup<\/a> winners also had an interest in Grealish.<\/p>\n

Chelsea were keen to bring a new attacking midfielder to the club and ended up with Buonanotte after signing the 20-year-old on loan.<\/p>\n

However, journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea<\/a> that Chelsea looked at signing Grealish on a \u201ccouple of occasions\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to Phillips, despite the 30-year-old\u2019s struggles at City, Chelsea \u201cseriously considered it\u201d.<\/p>\n

The decision not to sign Grealish is one that the club may be regretting. The Englishman has been on fire for Everton this season, while Chelsea\u2019s first-choice attacking midfielder Cole Palmer is struggling with a groin injury.<\/p>\n

In his absence, the Blues were still able to beat Liverpool last weekend. Danny Murphy recently discussed Palmer\u2019s unavailability<\/a>, claiming that it actually benefitted Enzo Maresca<\/a>\u2018s side.<\/p>\n

David Moyes has been using Grealish on the left this season, and he is outperforming Chelsea\u2019s wide men there right now.<\/p>\n

For example, the England international has registered four assists in the Premier League<\/a>, which is more than any Chelsea attacker.<\/p>\n

City paid Aston Villa \u00a3100m<\/a> to sign Grealish back in 2021, a fee that he has not justified.
