{"id":187746,"date":"2025-10-09T09:44:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T09:44:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/187746\/"},"modified":"2025-10-09T09:44:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T09:44:13","slug":"rare-baby-lhoests-monkey-born-at-edinburgh-zoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/187746\/","title":{"rendered":"Rare baby L\u2019Hoest\u2019s monkey born at Edinburgh Zoo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A rare baby monkey has been born at Edinburgh Zoo. <\/p>\n<p>The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) said the baby L\u2019Hoest\u2019s monkey arrived on September 26.<\/p>\n<p>The wildlife conservation charity confirmed it was born to mum Sheli and dad Jamal.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Hoest\u2019s monkeys are born with orange fur, which darkens to black at around three months old.<\/p>\n<p>Females usually give birth to a single infant following a five-month gestation.
