A new face arrives on Coronation Street<\/a> next week, when Aunty Rani arrives in Weatherfield \u2013 leaving Aadi Alahan<\/a> and Bernie Winter<\/a> to squirm when she reveals that she plans to keep a very close eye on the wedding spending.<\/p>\n

Aadi and Bernie previously created a plan to pay off the corner shop’s business debts using Rani’s generous cash donation intended for the wedding.<\/p>\n

When Dev Alahan<\/a> excitedly reveals that Aunty Rani plans to attend the wedding to see exactly how her money\u2019s been spent, Bernie and Aadi fly into a panic\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cAunty Rani\u2019s arrival throws a major spanner in Aadi and Bernie\u2019s plan to pay off their debts,\u201d explains our Coronation Street source. <\/p>\n

Desperate to salvage the situation, Bernie and Aadi go over the wedding plans again \u2013 but when Dev asks his son to be his best man, Aadi feels shameful while his dad\u2019s elated. Dev\u2019s mood darkens, however, when Aunty Rani arrives sooner than planned.<\/p>\n

\u201cAunty Rani has high standards, and Dev is desperate to impress her,\u201d adds our insider. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s given him so much money for the wedding, so he immediately starts fussing over her. Under Aunty Rani\u2019s scathing eye, Bernie doesn\u2019t feel up to scratch, so she puts on a posh accent in the hope of impressing her.\u201d <\/p>\n
