Chris Froome’s Recovery After the Accident<\/p>\n
British cyclist Chris Froome amazed fans with his openness about the consequences of a serious accident that happened at the end of August. After the incident during a training session in France, the athlete was evacuated by helicopter to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Froome sustained severe injuries, including four broken ribs, a broken spine, and a collapsed lung. The most dangerous was the rupture of the pericardium\u2014the membrane protecting the heart.<\/p>\n
Currently, the 40-year-old athlete is sharing the process of his recovery. In a photo published on his Instagram, he is seen maintaining a positive mood during rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
A few scars remain visible one and a half months after the injury.<\/p>\n
Froome commented on his situation during his hospital discharge last month, saying: <\/p>\n
\u201cRelieved to be heading home from the hospital today.\u201d He thanked the medical staff at HIA Sainte Anne hospital.<\/p>\n
The cyclist was taken to a military hospital in Toulon after hitting a curb at 30 miles per hour and colliding with a road sign. His injuries will require a long break from cycling.<\/p>\n

However, Chris is not at all disheartened by these events. He appeared in public just a few weeks after his discharge at a charity evening in Zurich. Alongside him on stage were sports legends Usain Bolt, Anthony Joshua, and Mika Hakkinen.<\/p>\n
