Mumbai\u2019s Shivam Dube<\/a> scored a 63-ball 100 against Maharashtra to kickstart the Ranji Trophy preparation in style.<\/p>\n The two teams were taking part in a warm-up game ahead of the red-ball tournament, which begins on October 15. The game had already been in the news earlier, after Prithvi Shaw<\/a>, who moved away from playing for Mumbai to represent Maharashtra, scored a 220-ball 181 against his former side. He was then involved in a heated exchange with Musheer Khan<\/a>, India\u2019s Under-19 star in the recent World Cup, and also Sarfaraz Khan\u2019s brother.<\/p>\n Maharastra made 465-3 in their first innings, with Arshin Kulkarni<\/a> scoring 186 in just 140 balls. In reply, Mumbai responded with 320-9 in 90 overs. Maharashtra made 186-5 in the second innings, leaving Mumbai a target of 331 to win the warm-up game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Shivam Dube stars for Mumbai in the second innings <\/p>\n Dube walked out to bat at No.4, after Mumbai had been reduced to 36-2. He was the lone warrior for the side, bringing up his hundred in 62 balls. He fell a ball later while going for a big hit. Other than Dube, no other batter from the side crossed 30, with Angkrish Raghuvanshi<\/a> being the second-highest run-scorer, with 27 runs. Mumbai ended on 168-4, losing the game after conceding the first innings lead.<\/p>\n The Indian all-rounder, who has been a part of 34 successive T20I wins, has been named in the Mumbai probables for the upcoming Ranji Trophy<\/a>. He has played 25 first-class matches thus far since his debut in 2017, scoring 1,541 runs at 44.02.
