Tyson Fury has been retired since January of this year.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 is one of boxing\u2019s most charismatic and accomplished heavyweights who first rose to prominence with his 2015 victory over Wladimir Klitschko when he ended the Ukrainian\u2019s decade-long reign and captured the unified heavyweight titles.<\/p>\n

After a hiatus battling mental health issues and addiction, Fury made a remarkable comeback and reclaimed world champion status by knocking out the big-punching WBC ruler Deontay Wilder<\/a> in 2020, then again in the final fight of their trilogy.<\/p>\n

Despite his unorthodox movement and ring IQ, he was unable to solve the problem that is Oleksandr Usyk<\/a> and took his first career loss in April 2024, before then losing again in the rematch in December last year.<\/p>\n

That caused him to hang up his gloves<\/a>, which left fans disappointed with the thought he would never take on fellow Brit Anthony Joshua.<\/p>\n

Speaking to DAZN<\/a>, Fury\u2019s promoter Frank Warren revealed he had spoken to his charge recently for an update on his career.<\/p>\n

\u201cI spoke to him last week. He said that he\u2019s going to come back and fight next year. He wants to do it. He\u2019s had a very busy year this year. He\u2019s obviously not had a fight this year, but as we\u2019ve all seen, he\u2019s had his documentary.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s been filming with Netflix for his At Home with the Furys series. He\u2019s also got another documentary that he\u2019s finishing off, plus other things. I mean, he\u2019s told me categorically he wants to fight next year. So, we\u2019ll sit down and see.\u201d<\/p>\n
