\n\tWhen Dua Lipa<\/a> sat down with Rolling Stone during Mistr\u2019s National PrEP Day celebration<\/a> on Thursday night, she was still on cloud nine after performing with Gwen Stefani<\/a> at her show in Los Angeles the previous evening. Lipa had surprised fans by welcoming the No Doubt<\/a> frontwoman and diving into a duet of \u201cDon\u2019t Speak.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve loved Gwen my whole life. I\u2019ve found her so inspiring. I\u2019ve loved her music. I love her toughness,\u201d Lipa tells Rolling Stone at Mistr\u2019s event at the Abbey in West Hollywood. \u201cI love her voice. I love everything that she stood for. For me, it was a big childhood dream come true.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe artists first connected in 2020 following the release of Future Nostalgia,<\/a> when Lipa asked Stefani to join a remix of her song \u201cPhysical\u201d for Club Future Nostalgia,<\/a> but the pair \u201chadn\u2019t actually met\u201d when they released the pandemic project.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFrom growing up watching her, all her music videos, her on TV and on red carpets, to then seeing her right next to me, singing a song that soundtracked my life was really special,\u201d Lipa says.<\/p>\n

\n\tLipa also shares her excitement for Stefani and No Doubt\u2019s takeover<\/a> of the Sphere in Las Vegas \u2014 though she worried about ruining the announcement, which had leaked that evening. \u201cI didn\u2019t leak this news! I\u2019ll get in trouble with Gwen,\u201d she jokes. \u201cIt\u2019s very exciting. I\u2019m hoping to have the chance to come down to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been to the Sphere a couple of times. It\u2019s such a spectacle. It\u2019s absolutely surreal,\u201d Lipa adds. \u201cThe space is so grand that you have to be really smart with the way that you use it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the interview, Lipa also thought back on her 2024 album Radical Optimism<\/a>, calling it her \u201cfavorite album I\u2019ve made.\u201d She says its message about getting through hardship with passion continues to resonate \u2014 especially now that she\u2019s in a new chapter personally, and in a completely different headspace in her life.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWith this tour, all\u00a0the love and the joy and the celebration that I feel like I put out into the world has come back to me, and I feel very, very grateful for it,\u201d Lipa says. \u201cHad I not written Radical Optimism and manifested all these amazing things into my life\u2026 then I don\u2019t know, maybe I wouldn\u2019t have met Callum [Turner].\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIs being in love (and engaged!) inspiring her music? \u201cLove is influencing the sonics,\u201d she says. \u201cThe music I\u2019m making is very fun. I\u2019m still in discovery mode but we\u2019re having a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLipa also confirmed that she\u2019s working with Mark Ronson <\/a>on new music again, but declined to tease the era any further. \u201cI love working with Mark. I\u2019m so inspired by him.
