{"id":19482,"date":"2025-07-24T04:33:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-24T04:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/19482\/"},"modified":"2025-07-24T04:33:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T04:33:11","slug":"story-garden-theme-for-cambridgeshire-reading-challenge-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/19482\/","title":{"rendered":"Story Garden theme for Cambridgeshire reading challenge 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  This year\u2019s theme, Story Garden, which features beautiful illustrations by award-winning artist Dapo Adeola, aims to encourage children to explore the magical connection between stories and nature.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Challenge is free to take part in and is open to pre-school and primary school-aged children of all reading abilities.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Children can sign up at their local (or mobile) library to receive a special collector\u2019s folder. To complete the Challenge, they will need to read six library books of their choice during the holidays \u2013 this includes listening to audiobooks or being read to for young children not yet able to read independently.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Children have until Saturday,\u00a0 September 13,\u00a0 to complete the Challenge. When they finish, they will receive a certificate and medal, with a special sticker medal for under-3s.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  To celebrate this year\u2019s Summer Reading Challenge, creative and green-fingered craft-based activities and events will be taking place across Cambridgeshire\u2019s libraries throughout the summer holidays.
