David O\u2019Meara is hopeful Estrange will be in top shape for the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The Cheveley Park Stud-owned four-year-old had been all set to bid for glory in the Prix de l\u2019Arc de Triomphe having been declared.<\/p>\n
However, a routine scope two days before the race showed she was under the weather and connections took the decision not to travel.<\/p>\n
She had been entered on Champions Day as a back-up plan and while she looks unlikely to get her favoured soft ground, there are no other options for her this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s OK. She had a little bit of dicky scope ahead of the Arc and she\u2019s had a small bit of treatment. I\u2019m hoping she\u2019d be right for Saturday,\u201d said O\u2019Meara.<\/p>\n
