Police on Moscow Drive<\/p>\nNeighbours heard shouting in the street as well as a bang before emergency services swarmed the areaPolice on Moscow Drive<\/p>\n
Armed police descended on a Liverpool street this morning after a man was stabbed, with neighbours hearing shouting before officers arrived at the scene. Merseyside Police<\/a> confirmed armed officers rushed to Moscow Drive at around 11.10am after reports from North West Ambulance Service that a man was being treated for a stab wound to his arm and face.<\/p>\n The victim, a 50-year-old man, has since been taken to hospital for treatment. A 54-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent, and a 76-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.<\/p>\n They remain in police custody to be questioned.<\/p>\n Neighbours told the ECHO how shouting was heard in the street ahead of police arriving. One man told the ECHO: “I heard shouting in the street around 11am. There was a lot of arguing, a lot of people arguing.<\/p>\n “Police are always here, you become desensitised to it all.
