It\u2019s never a dull day in Glasgow, as there is more drama off the field than on the field of play.<\/p>\n

Even though Celtic are still favourites for the title<\/a>, the performances on the pitch have been pretty poor from Brendan Rodgers\u2019<\/a> side.<\/p>\n

But as always,\u00a0Rangers are the laughing stock<\/a> because, after sacking Russell Martin as their manager<\/a>, they are hovering above the relegation zone and still looking for a new coach.<\/p>\n

Many thought Steven Gerrard was going to return to Ibrox<\/a>, but all of that has now been shot down, as Simon Jordan<\/a> compared the Gers\u2019 initial push to bring back their former manager to Rodgers returning to Celtic<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Before Gerrard rejected Rangers<\/a>, Jordan told talkSPORT that it was \u2018lazy\u2019 on the Gers\u2019 part to knock on the former Liverpool man\u2019s door.<\/p>\n

Jordan also felt that it was \u2018lazy\u2019 from Celtic\u2019s perspective to bring back Rodgers for his second spell when he replaced Ange Postecoglou in the Parkhead dugout in 2023. <\/p>\n

But then Jordan began ranting about how it\u2019s seemingly easy lifting trophy after trophy in Glasgow. <\/p>\n

Jim White: \u201cWas it lazy thinking from Celtic to go back to Brendan?\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan: \u201cYeah, I thought that was lazy too. I thought that was lazy too.\u201d<\/p>\n

White: \u201cBut it works.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan: \u201cOnly because the opposition they play against is so bloody poor. I mean, you could send Elmer Fudd up to one of those two clubs, and one of them is going to win the league. It\u2019s either Rangers or Celtic.\u201d<\/p>\n

White: \u201cMaybe not this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan: \u201cLet\u2019s hope Hearts break the monopoly. Let\u2019s see. I will have a bet with you. One of the teams that will win the league this year will be Rangers or Celtic. It won\u2019t be Rangers now, so it will be Celtic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd that\u2019s the league. That\u2019s what it is. That\u2019s what it consists of \u2013 the fact is, Rangers need serious people to know what they are doing. They can\u2019t muck about now. <\/p>\n

\u201cThese guys have put somebody in. They have taken a punt on it. I don\u2019t like what\u2019s happened to Russell Martin.\u201d<\/p>\n

Never underestimate Celtic\u2019s dominance <\/p>\n

Sometimes, Celtic\u2019s dominance in Scotland<\/a> is disrespected because they are expected to win, and they go on to meet those expectations. <\/p>\n

Rangers spent a fortune this summer, yet find themselves in a relegation battle, so it just goes to show that money isn\u2019t everything because pressure is a killer in Glasgow. <\/p>\n

Over the last two decades, Celtic have won 42 trophies to Rangers\u2019 18, and also have won more Trebles in the last decade than their rivals have titles.<\/p>\n
