{"id":196016,"date":"2025-10-13T01:02:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T01:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/196016\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T01:02:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T01:02:11","slug":"horse-racing-2025-the-horses-to-forgive-from-the-toorak-rsn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/196016\/","title":{"rendered":"Horse Racing 2025: The Horses To Forgive From The Toorak | Rsn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"v2_larger-content\">  &#8220;One of the biggest car crashes of the spring.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Transatlantic took out the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m), giving trainer Tony Gollan back-to-back wins in the race.<\/p>\n<p>However, the story has been all about the other luckless runners.<\/p>\n<p>The 10-horse field had an early race scramble, which Transatlantic was able to avoid thanks to leading.<\/p>\n<p>However, the rest of the field wasn\u2019t so lucky.<\/p>\n<p>From the favourite Sepals being trotted on to the second favourite Evaporate copping an early bump after slightly missing the start, the Group 1 had plenty of forgive runs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sen.com.au\/tips\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/SSxTrack_Article_banner1.jpg\" alt=\"SSxTrack Article banner1\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a heap of interference there, early on in the race between Feroce and Lazzura,\u201d Peter Anthoinsz told SENTrack &amp; RSN\u2019s Giddy Up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSepals was just one of the biggest car crashes of the spring \u2013 a complete forgive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Form guru David Gately echoed that synopsis and listed six runners from the race who have landed in his forgive file.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA string of forgive runs out of that race,\u201d Gately agreed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTransatlantic did a good job because it\u2019s not as if he dawdled in the lead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s won the race but here is the forgive file out of it:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSepals \u2013 car crash.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDesert Lightning \u2013 wide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPinstriped \u2013 back, hopelessly held up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLazzura \u2013 checked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDamask Rose \u2013 poleaxed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvaporate \u2013 misses the start.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was like that episode of the Simpsons where the seven baseball players all had misfortunes leading in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SENTrack &amp; RSN\u2019s Gareth Hall chimed in and stated that Transatlantic simply took luck out of the equation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the day, sometimes those horses that have tactical speed, they\u2019re out in front and they\u2019re out of trouble basically,\u201d Hall said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey make their own luck.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight place, right time, you need to make the most of your opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen it is your moment, take your moment and that is what Transatlantic did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/eepurl.com\/jm2mdQ\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1759059731_401_eDM_SIGN_UP.png\" alt=\"eDM SIGN UP\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#8220;One of the biggest car crashes of the spring.&#8221;
