Trusted power meets electric mobility<\/p>\n
Duracell\u00a0E-Charge\u2019s\u00a0entry into the EV charging market marks a major moment for consumer confidence in the UK\u2019s EV journey. The launch brings together Duracell\u2019s legacy of reliability, in partnership with long-established electric vehicle charging business, The EV Network, who have a long track record in building out large-scale charging infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n
To operate the network, Duracell has granted a licence to Elektra Charge, a newly formed charge point operator (CPO) that will manage day-to-day operations. The sites themselves will be developed and funded by The EV Network (EVN).<\/p>\n

The new Duracell E-Charge hubs will offer ultra-fast charging of up to 1,000 kW, enabling drivers to charge their vehicles faster than ever before, again driving early mainstream charging confidence. Each location will be designed for maximum uptime, intuitive usability, and driver convenience, with round-the-clock customer support and multiple payment options including contactless, in-app and plug-and-go.<\/p>\n
Duracell E-Charge\u2019s first six nationwide sites are expected to go live in 2025, with a rapid rollout planned for 2026 and beyond. The network will prioritise strategic high-traffic locations including motorways, retail destinations, hospitality venues, and urban gateways, ensuring drivers can charge wherever and whenever they need.<\/p>\n
