{"id":197481,"date":"2025-10-13T16:49:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T16:49:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/197481\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T16:49:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T16:49:09","slug":"northamptonshire-hospitals-livestream-operations-for-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/197481\/","title":{"rendered":"Northamptonshire hospitals livestream operations for training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Although the livestreamed operations were carried out anonymously, one of the patients, David McLoughlin, was happy to reveal his identity and describe his support for the surgical symposium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Mr McLoughlin, 62, from Braunston, near Daventry, had his procedure at Northampton General Hospital on Thursday and was able to return home on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said: &#8220;About six weeks ago, I went to my GP after stomach pains and some other tests, and then I went to the hospital for a colonoscopy, which found I had cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;My consultant, Mr Ahmed, explained about the live-stream and symposium, and I was happy to volunteer to take part.
