Liverpool have immediately rejected Bayern Munich<\/a>\u2018s official \u00a358.6 million bid for Luis Diaz<\/a>, who has reportedly \u201cmade it clear to the club he wants to leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diaz\u2019s future has been a growing topic of discussion amid much-publicised interest from Barcelona<\/a> and Bayern Munich<\/a>, plus Liverpool\u2019s stance that he is not for sale. <\/p>\n

A formal offer has since been tabled by the German champions, with The Athletic<\/a>\u2018s David Ornstein reliably reporting that a bid worth \u20ac67.5million (\u00a358.6m) was tabled and \u201cimmediately rejected.\u201d<\/p>\n

The most pertinent line from Ornstein, however, is that Diaz \u201chas made clear to the club he wants to leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

Throughout the summer, Diaz has spoken of how he would be happy to stay at the club with or without a new deal, but that now appears to have changed. <\/p>\n

With the club\u2019s stance on the matter having been readily pushed as them not wanting to sell nor eager to offer a new contract, it is understandable why Diaz would seek to look elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Liverpool value Diaz at upwards of \u20ac100 million, with the report stressing that figure is \u201cfor accounting purposes rather than a sales position\u201d as their stance has been \u201che is going nowhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

A figure they cannot refuse would, obviously, change their tune but Bayern Munich<\/a> would have to return to the table with a significant increase if a deal is to be brokered. <\/p>\n

On that note, Sky Germany\u2019s Florian Plettenberg adds on X<\/a> that Bayern \u201care preparing a new offer\u201d as the Colombian is their \u201ctop priority,\u201d with personal terms not expected to be an issue.<\/p>\n

Diaz remains a valuable member of Arne Slot<\/a>\u2018s squad, and there will also be a consideration from Liverpool of strengthening their European rivals if they were to agree a deal with Bayern.<\/p>\n
