{"id":19760,"date":"2025-07-24T07:27:08","date_gmt":"2025-07-24T07:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/19760\/"},"modified":"2025-07-24T07:27:08","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T07:27:08","slug":"lewis-hamilton-boost-as-ferrari-confirms-belgian-gp-upgrades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/19760\/","title":{"rendered":"Lewis Hamilton boost as Ferrari confirms Belgian GP upgrades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has confirmed the team is set to introduce new upgrades at the Belgian Grand Prix this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The Scuderia sit second in the Constructors\u2019 standings at the halfway point of the 2025 season, but Vasseur admitted after the British Grand Prix that the team\u2019s performance in that race was \u201ca step down\u201d compared to championship leaders, McLaren.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari looking to \u2018maximise potential\u2019 from fresh SF-25 upgrade<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/mclaren-sanction-new-floor-belgian-gp-after-silverstone-tests\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">McLaren is due to be introducing upgrades<\/a> of its own at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend, with a new floor expected to be available for Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari, meanwhile, has now confirmed additional upgrades would be brought to the SF-25.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis Hamilton said his car felt \u201cunbelievably tricky to drive\u201d at points at Silverstone, with Charles Leclerc adding that the team was \u201cpushing hard\u201d to introduce new parts after admitting the \u201conly positive\u201d from the race weekend in Britain was Hamilton\u2019s pace.<\/p>\n<p>Vasseur acknowledged that, with limited running available given the Belgian Grand Prix is a Sprint event, the team will need to \u201cmaximise its potential from the get-go\u201d this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Only one hour of free practice will be followed by Sprint qualifying, with parc ferm\u00e9 conditions put in place until the Sprint finishes on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead to the Belgian Grand Prix<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc49\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/f1-weather-forecast-2025-belgian-grand-prix\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Revealed: The weather forecast for the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc49\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/f1-2025-race-head-to-head-team-mates\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">F1 2025: Head-to-head race statistics between team-mates<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/ferrari-upgrade-breakthrough-new-rear-suspension-mugello-test\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recent reports have suggested Ferrari had been testing updated rear suspension at a recent filming day<\/a>, Vasseur kept the nature of the team\u2019s upgrades under wraps for now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Belgian Grand Prix is the first leg of the final double-header before the summer break,\u201d Vasseur said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have worked hard at the factory to bring an additional upgrade package for the SF-25.
