{"id":198891,"date":"2025-10-14T07:31:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T07:31:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/198891\/"},"modified":"2025-10-14T07:31:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T07:31:06","slug":"isentroniq-raises-e7-5m-to-tackle-the-wiring-bottleneck-and-scale-quantum-computing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/198891\/","title":{"rendered":"Isentroniq raises \u20ac7.5M to tackle the wiring bottleneck and scale quantum computing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>French quantum hardware startup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isentroniq.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Isentroniq<\/a> closed a<br \/>\n\u20ac7.5 million funding round led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heartcore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Heartcore<\/a> with participation from OVNI<br \/>\nCapital, Kima Ventures, iXcore, Better Angle, Epsilon VC, as well as the support<br \/>\nfrom Bpifrance and the French National Research Agency (ANR) under the France<br \/>\n2030 program. <\/p>\n<p>Quantum computing could<br \/>\ntransform sectors such as medicine, energy, and logistics, but meaningful<br \/>\nprogress requires millions of qubits due to error-correction overhead.<br \/>\nSuperconducting qubits are promising, yet scaling is constrained by cryogenic<br \/>\nwiring that adds heat and bulk; beyond roughly 100 qubits, systems hit thermal<br \/>\nand spatial limits. Building to 1 million qubits with current approaches would<br \/>\ndemand massive facilities and tens of billions of euros.<\/p>\n<p>Isentroniq targets heat, cost, and space bottlenecks to enable up to 1,000\u00d7<br \/>\nmore qubits in existing dilution refrigerators, with a long-term goal of<br \/>\nreducing the cost of a 1 million-qubit system to about \u20ac50 million. The company<br \/>\noperates a fabless model\u2014designing its architecture and outsourcing fabrication<br \/>\nto specialised partners\u2014to accelerate time to market, limit capex, and ensure<br \/>\nindustrial-grade quality.<\/p>\n<p>Today, wiring is the #1 bottleneck to scale superconducting quantum<br \/>\ncomputers.
