National Waste Services<\/p>\n Believing the truck to be turning left, the \u201cGlengarry Glen Ross\u201d star weaved to the right \u2013 only to discover the rig was actually turning the same direction, the report from the East Hampton Police Department states.\u00a0<\/p>\n The report broadly dovetails\u00a0with Baldwin\u2019s claim in an Instagram video<\/a>\u00a0that a garbage truck the \u201csize of a whale\u201d cut him off as he drove his wife Hilaria Baldwin\u2019s 2023 Range Rover.<\/p>\n \u201cA guy cut me off, a big garbage truck, a garbage truck the size of a whale. I\u2019ve never seen a garbage truck that big. It must have been for something commercial, like taking away material from construction or something,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cTo avoid hitting him, I hit a tree, I hit a big, fat tree and crushed my car \u2013 my wife\u2019s car. I crushed my wife\u2019s car. I feel bad about that. But it\u2019s all fine, I\u2019m fine, and my brother\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n Baldwin claimed that a garbage truck cut him off. Matt Agudo\/INSTARimages<\/p>\n The dashcam\u00a0video obtained by Newsmax<\/a>\u00a0gives the National Waste Services garbage truck\u2019s\u00a0driver\u2019s-side\u00a0POV as the massive vehicle seemingly rolls through a right turn onto Montauk Highway.<\/p>\n Shortly after the turn, the truck slows onto the road\u2019s shoulder and the white\u00a0Range Rover can be seen plowing into a tree.<\/p>\n NewsMax contended the video \u201ccontradicts\u201d Baldwin\u2019s story\u00a0that the truck cut him off, causing the crash.<\/p>\n But the video does show the truck slightly veer left before starting a wide right turn \u2013 a maneuver described in the police report.<\/p>\n At the time of the crash, Alec Baldwin was inside the white Range Rover with his brother Stephen Baldwin.
