{"id":20129,"date":"2025-07-24T11:08:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-24T11:08:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/20129\/"},"modified":"2025-07-24T11:08:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T11:08:07","slug":"horsepwrs-latest-campaign-features-new-film-to-drive-positive-perceptions-of-horse-welfare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/20129\/","title":{"rendered":"HorsePWR\u2019s latest campaign features new film to drive positive perceptions of horse welfare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/featured_horsepwr_campaign_ps_2-1-1000x563.png\" class=\"attachment-news-single size-news-single wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The latest phase of <a href=\"https:\/\/horsepwr.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HorsePWR<\/a>, the collaborative welfare campaign launched last year by the BHA, Great British Racing (GBR) and the Horse Welfare Board, has been running through summer and now features an exciting new campaign video.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The campaign dovetails British horseracing \u2018s current Horserace Betting Levy Board-funded consumer marketing campaign (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatbritishracing.com\/the-going-is-good\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Going is Good<\/a>) and will run until September 2025, representing the sport\u2019s most significant and sustained investment in welfare communications on record.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/horsepwr.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HorsePWR<\/a> was originally launched in April 2024 and is the industry-led initiative aimed at increasing public engagement with British horseracing and reinforcing confidence in the sport\u2019s high welfare standards.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>Now the campaign\u2019s third phase continues to build the investment in welfare activity, and comprises a bold mix of digital, social media and \u201cout of home\u201d (OOH) activity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At its heart is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=E2ImFqc8HE8\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new short film<\/a>, designed to engage audiences across the key digital and social media channels, reinforcing racing\u2019s commitment to the highest welfare standards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The film highlights that behind the minutes of elite athletic performance which racing fans see on the racecourse, there are teams of dedicated people, hours of care and significant investment, ensuring racehorses lead a life well lived.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) will be an important outlet for it throughout the campaign, targeting audiences with a blend of skippable and non-skip formats to balance user attention on the messaging with driving reach.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile a new round of creative images has been produced to address the areas of public concern, based on extensive research. They include racing\u2019s use of data to drive improvements, amplifying our work with the independent research experts at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rvc.ac.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Royal Veterinary College<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The development of the campaign film and new images was funded by generous contributions from the BHA, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejockeyclub.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jockey Club<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arenaracingcompany.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arena Racing Company<\/a> (ARC). <\/p>\n<p>This will all be underpinned by a strategic OOH campaign at high-impact sites in travel and transport hubs, aligned to racecourses such as Epsom, Ascot and Goodwood.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33946 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Screenshot-2025-07-21-at-11.30.21.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1006\"  \/><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33945 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Screenshot-2025-07-21-at-11.30.28-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition, for the first time the HorsePWR campaign will be working with TikTok to collaborate with influencers and create authentic content to support the horse welfare message.<\/p>\n<p>We know that 71% of consumers have trust in influencer ads and with the right talent in place, this is an effective medium for the campaign to drive positive perceptions of horse welfare.<\/p>\n<p>Robin Mounsey, the BHA\u2019s Head of Communications said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/horsepwr.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HorsePWR<\/a> is a long-term commitment to openness, transparency and dialogue on welfare \u2013 helping the public to see the full picture of how British racing cares for its horses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new video sits right at the heart of that, offering an authentic and engaging way to show the expertise, dedication and investment that underpin a racehorse\u2019s life every day \u2013 not just on the track. We\u2019re proud of the standards we uphold, and this campaign is about showing exactly why.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s also exciting to see the campaign branching out onto other social media platforms and using influencers to ensure we are reaching the right people, especially those who will form the sport\u2019s future audience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful to the Horserace Betting Levy Board for their funding of the campaign, and the Jockey Club and ARC for contributions to fund the campaign content.
