It seems like everyone is in love with the project they are involved in at Lucasfilm, as it will probably not shock you. Mia Goth is the latest actress to be openly talking about the\u00a0Star Wars project they are attached to, and singing its praises too. This comes on the heels of Rosario Dawson<\/a> and Bryce Dallas Howard<\/a> hyping up\u00a0Ahsoka Season 2, and Jeremy Allen White<\/a> describing how fun\u00a0The Mandalorian and Grogu is.<\/p>\n

Goth was interviewed by Elle Magazine<\/a> to promote Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Frankenstein, and the topic of what\u2019s next for her came up. She talked to the publication after wrapping on Christopher Nolan\u2019s\u00a0The Odyssey and while in preparation for Shawn Levy\u2019s\u00a0Star Wars: Starfighter, so it\u2019s not like there was much that she could say about the project. Still, she mentioned the following about prep:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m being pushed in a way that I\u2019ve never been pushed before\u2026.This is a completely separate film, not a prequel. It\u2019s its own thing, with new characters. And it\u2019s a great script, a really great script.\u201d<\/p>\n

The writer of the piece also reached out to director Shawn Levy to discuss the casting of the up-and-comer actress. Levy had nothing but nice words about her:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe needed a singular actor to play a fiercely complex new character within the Star Wars galaxy. Mia is a unicorn of an actress. It\u2019s not like you could ever say, \u2018We need a Mia Goth type,\u2019 because there is no type. There\u2019s just Mia.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s interesting about Levy\u2019s quote is how she was actually not the first choice for the role, as Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison got the offer for the part first<\/a>, but reportedly turned it down over money. Lucasfilm then turned to Goth<\/a>, who accepted the part. It is reportedly one of the main villains of the movie.<\/p>\n

Star Wars: Starfighter\u00a0is currently shooting in the UK and is targeting a theatrical release on May 28, 2027. The next Star Wars feature film is\u00a0The Mandalorian and Grogu, which bows on May 22, 2026.<\/p>\n
