Courtesy of the taxpayer\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Labour took over London\u2019s seventh-largest borough from the Tories \u2013 who had held it since 1974 \u2013 in a historic 2022 rout. Since then they\u2019ve been busy at work\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Last year the borough launched its new \u2018Access for All\u2019 concessions <a href=\"https:\/\/wandsworth.gov.uk\/news\/news-april-2025\/wandsworth-launches-britains-best-concession-scheme\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">scheme<\/a> which offers discounts from 50% to 100% on \u201ckey services from gym sessions to swimming lessons, wedding ceremonies to event tickets.\u201d The scheme can only be accessed by:<\/p>\n<p>People in receipt of benefits<br \/>\nChildren in receipt of free school meals (all ages)<br \/>\nAsylum seekers\/refugees<br \/>\nLooked after children\/care leavers<\/p>\n<p>The council has now announced a \u201cpioneering deal with Lime, Forest and Voi\u201d to offer a 50% discount for e-bike rentals. It <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wandsworth.gov.uk\/news\/news-july-2025\/50-off-lime-bikes-wandsworth-council-makes-e-bikes-fair-safe-and-affordable\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">broadcast<\/a> last week:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re eligible for Access for All, you can now get 50% off rides on Lime and Forest e-bikes, and Lime and Voi e-scooters as part of a new deal we have struck with providers in our borough.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Labour Council Leader Simon Hogg said this is \u201cabout opening up affordable, sustainable travel that helps our residents to access work and entertainment opportunities across the borough. We\u2019re proud that Lime, Forest and Voi have agreed to join Access for All and to operate respectfully and safely.
