Charlotte Church<\/a> has admitted her viral This Morning<\/a> soundbath moment with Alison Hammond<\/a> and Dermot O\u2019Leary<\/a> actually \u2018p***ed [her] right off\u2019 and touched a \u2018wound\u2019. <\/p>\n

In November last year The Traitors<\/a> star, 39, appeared on the ITV<\/a> show to do a live soundbath which left the 50-year-old presenter in fits of giggles<\/a>, in a video that quickly went viral. <\/p>\n

However, while all seemed fine on the day Charlotte sang out soothing notes over the top of a relaxing instrumental soundscape and the ITV presenters reclined on the floor, a year on and the classical singer has admitted Alison\u2019s mischievous response actually touched a \u2018deep wound\u2019 of hers. <\/p>\n

Talking on Elizabeth Day\u2019s How To Fail podcast<\/a> live in Bath, when asked whether Alison not being able to keep a straight face during the encounter the star made her feelings crystal clear.<\/p>\n

\u2018Oh that p**sed me right off,\u2019 she said twice, before explaining: \u2018I\u2019ve met Alison Hammond a number of times and she\u2019s a wonderful woman. I think that part of it was a misjudgement on my part to go \u201clet\u2019s do a five minute sound bath on national TV. That makes loads of sense. Yeah, let\u2019s go for it\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think it was a misjudgement on my part, but I think that what annoyed me more than anything else was that then I\u2019m given the opportunity to display and demonstrate and represent somewhat this amazing art of sound healing or sound ceremony or however people want to describe it and then it\u2019s made a figure of fun. <\/p>\n

\u2018That really did actually touch quite a deep wound for me. I was like, \u201cUgh I really like you, Alison, but f*ck you\u201d.\u2019 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Elizabeth observed, \u2018Yes, because it reminds you of all those other times that you felt you were made fun of,\u2019 to which Charlotte replied: \u2018Yeah, totally.\u2019 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Alison apologised for her outburst after the experience, telling Charlotte, who laughed it off: \u2018I\u2019m so sorry\u2026 I feel like I was being rude. What was really throwing me was you singing! It was really making me giggle.\u2019<\/p>\n

Charlotte, who owns a wellbeing centre The Dreaming, in Wales<\/a>, which offers a range of spiritual retreats, including sound baths, explained the importance of sound baths in her centre on the segment. <\/p>\n

\u2018One of our pillars is sound and sound healing in all of its forms,\u2019 she said. <\/p>\n

\u2018Sound affects us on a cellular level and science is really starting to come to terms with the power of sound.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s about helping people drop into a deep sense of relaxation and there are so many health<\/a> benefits around it. In today\u2019s age, it\u2019s very difficult for people to switch off.\u2019<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Charlotte revealed she\u2019s had \u2018revelatory\u2019 plant medicine experiences, and has taken South American psychoactive substance ayahuasca. <\/p>\n

Before touching on her This Morning appearance, Charlotte talked about feeling \u2018exploited\u2019 by the music industry, which she said was \u2018terrible\u2019. <\/p>\n

\u2018There\u2019s no two ways about it. I was not looked after. I was not nurtured. I was just totally exploited like I was a commodity,\u2019 she reflected. <\/p>\n

\u2018We [with her parents] got massively taken advantage of without a shadow of a doubt and I\u2019ve made my peace with it now because I understand the wider context. <\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m a deeply politicised person and so I\u2019m not looking at myself from a victim mindset in terms of like, \u201cOh poor me, this thing happened to me\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ve worked through a lot of that stuff and I can understand the soil in which I was growing and that soil was full of sh*t.\u2019 <\/p>\n
