Although it’s hard to think of Kim Kardashian<\/a>‘s older daughter with any name other than North, the SKIMS co-founder is sharing that she almost went by a different moniker.<\/p>\n

During her appearance on the\u00a0Call Her Daddy\u00a0podcast on Wednesday, Oct. 15, Kardashian shared that when her daughter North<\/a>, now 12, was first born, her ex-husband Kanye West<\/a> had a couple of\u00a0other names in mind for their eldest.<\/p>\n

“So when North was born, Kanye wanted to name her Noreaga,” the All’s Fair star told host Alex Cooper<\/a>. “And so then we went with, like, Noreaga, Norie, North.”<\/p>\n

“Or he wanted to name her his mom’s name, Donda, and we considered that. But I’m a big believer in, like, your own name,” she continued. “And so you’re not having to live up to a standard of what someone thought they wanted you to be or like, pushing you into someone who you’re not.”<\/p>\n

“So I really wanted her to have her own name,” the mogul concluded.<\/p>\n

Kardashian shares<\/a> her daughters, North and Chicago, 7, as well as sons Psalm, 6, and Saint, 9, with her ex-husband.<\/p>\n

In September, the 44-year-old appeared on Kai Cenat’s\u00a0“Mafiathon 3” livestream<\/a>\u00a0and weighed in on a parenting debate<\/a>, as seen in a\u00a0video posted to X<\/a>. The mom of four revealed that she’s not a fan of homework.<\/p>\n

“I don’t believe in homework,” Kardashian said. “But I’m going to tell you why. Kids are in school for eight hours a day.”<\/p>\n

“When they come home, they need to also \u2014 they do sports, have a life, spend time with their family. I think that homework should be left for in school,” she continued.<\/p>\n

At the end of August, Kardashian and her daughter North\u00a0had a matching moment<\/a>\u00a0in all-black looks as they spent an evening out in Rome, Italy.<\/p>\n

The mother-daughter duo stepped out together wearing all-black outfits on Aug. 22. Kardashian wore a black bodycon silk dress while North wore a black corset, a skirt and knee-high boots, standing taller than her mom. The tween’s electric blue hair was styled in two ponytails down to her waist.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0TikTok<\/a>, posted on the mother-daughter duo’s joint account, the pair showed off their outfits as they danced to Destroy Lonely’s “If Looks Could Kill.”<\/p>\n
