{"id":203155,"date":"2025-10-16T01:53:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T01:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/203155\/"},"modified":"2025-10-16T01:53:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T01:53:07","slug":"tinubus-aide-mocks-peter-obi-obidients-after-inflation-decline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/203155\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu\u2019s aide mocks Peter Obi, Obidients after inflation decline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Presidency on Wednesday slammed the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, and his supporters, the Obidients, amid the recent inflation report.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST earlier reported that Nigeria\u2019s headline inflation dropped to 18.02 per cent in September 2025, down from 20.12 per cent in August.<\/p>\n<p>Data from the National Bureau of Statistics indicate that <a href=\"https:\/\/dailypost.ng\/2025\/10\/15\/nigerias-inflation-rate-drops-for-6th-consecutive-time\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">headline inflation has dropped for the sixth consecutive time this year.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Reacting, President Bola Tinubu\u2019s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on his official Facebook page, said despite the \u201csignificant crash\u201d, Obi would continue his criticism of the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote, \u201cInflation recorded its most significant crash in September, falling from 20.12% to 18.02%.<br \/>\u201cThis is the sixth consecutive month that inflation has been declining. Peter Obi and his Obidient mob will never acknowledge this positive development in the economy.
