GEORGETOWN, TEXAS \u2013 Oct. 15, 2025 \u2013 GFiber, formerly Google Fiber, will bring its high-speed internet service to Georgetown. At its Oct. 14 meeting, the Georgetown City Council approved a license agreement with GFiber, which allows for the installation, maintenance, and operation of a fiber optic network within the public right-of-way.<\/p>\n

GFiber will offer Georgetown residents and small businesses reliable, high-speed, high-bandwidth internet service, which offers 1 Gig, 2 Gig, 3 Gig, and 8 Gig service without data caps, equipment fees, or annual contracts.<\/p>\n
