United and Derby County.<\/p>\n<p>There has been a shortage of great strikers at United since Rooney\u2019s departure, even though he spent his final years at the club playing a midfield role. That\u2019s why <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/first-photos-of-benjamin-sesko-in-man-utd-shirt-as-deal-is-official-striker-signs-five-year-deal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">United signed Benjamin Sesko<\/a> in the summer to address an issue that exists in front of goal. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/GettyImages-2241118625-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Harry Kane playing against Latvia\" class=\"wp-image-303319\" \/>Photo by Michael Regan \u2013 The FA\/The FA via Getty ImagesHarry Kane picks Wayne Rooney over Thierry Henry and David Villa<\/p>\n<p>Bayern Munich striker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/tag\/harry-kane\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Harry Kane<\/a> is recognised as one of the best goalscorers in the world.<\/p>\n<p>After scoring 280 goals in 435 games for Tottenham, Kane has improved his scoring rate with 103 goals in 106 games for Bayern.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/news\/how-harry-kane-really-felt-about-signing-for-man-utd-when-he-left-tottenham-hotspur\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kane was linked with a move to United<\/a> before joining Bayern, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/tag\/erik-ten-hag\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Erik ten Hag<\/a> was forced to settle for Rasmus Hojlund instead.<\/p>\n<p>There have been rumours that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/harry-kane-has-secret-release-clause-and-he-would-consider-manchester-united-switch-claims-transfer-expert\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kane could sign for United if he returns to the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The England captain has done TikTok challenge with the Daily Mail, which is called \u2018winner stays on\u2019, where he selects the best from a list of world-renowned strikers.<\/p>\n<p>Kane selected Rooney over a list of strikers as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the list contains World Cup-winning duo Villa (Spain) and Henry (France).<\/p>\n<p>The only player that made Kane think twice was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/tag\/cristiano-ronaldo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cristiano Ronaldo<\/a>, and he was unable to pick a winner between the former United star and Lionel Messi.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a list Rooney will be proud of.<\/p>\n<p>Man Utd duo among England\u2019s top scorers of all-time<\/p>\n<p>Kane has surpassed Rooney\u2019s record as England\u2019s top scorer of all-time.<\/p>\n<p>The 32-year-old will hope he can add to his tally of 76 next summer when the World Cup begins.
