Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr<\/a> once named the man he felt would have given him the most trouble in a potential match-up.<\/p>\n

Jones is universally recognised as being one of the greatest fighters to have ever laced up a pair of gloves, proving his credentials throughout the course of his decorated professional career which began back in 1989.<\/p>\n

The Florida-native would go on to win world titles across four weight classes along the way, with the majority of his career success coming during the 1990s where he defeated the likes of Mike McCallum, James Toney and Bernard Hopkins.<\/p>\n

Jones would later make the move up to heavyweight in 2003, defeating John Ruiz via unanimous decision<\/a> to capture the WBA world heavyweight title in arguably the best victory of his entire career.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Now Boxing<\/a>, legendary British fighter Chris Eubank Sr paid homage to Jones \u2013 who he branded the \u2018best fighter in boxing history\u2019 \u2013 before revealing he was once told by the legendary American that he would have given him problems had they ever faced each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe the best fighter in the history of boxing was most likely Roy Jones, but it\u2019s unfair to make that a statement because we don\u2019t know for sure. But Sugar Ray Robinson, Mike McCallum, Sugar Ray Leonard, Joe Louis, Billy Conn, Henry Armstrong, Floyd Patterson and Herol Graham wouldn\u2019t mind me saying that because they were gentlemen. However, Floyd Mayweather Jr, James Toney, Duran and Whitaker might have an issue with it!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s interesting that Roy Jones told me the only fighter he ever felt could give him the most problems was me, because my critics like to point out that I somehow \u2018ducked\u2019 him, but he was never my mandatory contender and Roy Jones was most wary of facing me than any other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eubank is considered to be one of the greatest British fighters of all time. The Londoner captured the WBO world title at both middleweight and super-middleweight during his 13-year professional career, defeating the likes of Tony Thornton and Nigel Benn along the way.<\/p>\n
