Chris Eubank Jr insists that the terms for his rematch with Conor Benn are still not agreed upon, four weeks out from fight night.<\/p>\n

The fierce rivals are set to renew their hostilities on November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium<\/a> after a barnburning inaugural encounter.<\/p>\n

Eubank Jr fended off a valiant effort from Benn to win the instant British classic via unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Before their first meeting, both fighters signed contracts for two fights.<\/p>\n

However, Eubank Jr claims there are still some stipulations that need to be ironed out.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are not easy waters to navigate,\u201d Eubank Jr told Ring Magazine’s ‘Inside the Ring’ podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, the final contract for this fight hasn\u2019t actually even been fully agreed on. <\/p>\n

“So, you know, there\u2019s still a few things that we\u2019re gonna try and smooth out and make right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eubank Jr refused to provide more clarity on the situation when he was asked to elaborate.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, we agreed for a second fight before the first fight,\u201d Eubank added. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut there are certain parts of the contract that are still up for negotiation. <\/p>\n

“I\u2019m not gonna go into what parts of those contracts they are, but we are in negotiations for certain things.<\/p>\n

“So, it\u2019s up to me and my team to get the best deal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rehydration clause caused a stir <\/p>\n

Eubank Jr is likely alluding to the much-talked-about rehydration clause in his and Benn’s contracts.<\/p>\n

The clause prohibits both men from weighing more than 170lbs on the morning of the fight, 10lbs above the contracted middleweight limit.<\/p>\n

Eubank Jr, who is already very tight at 160lbs, was hospitalised with dehydration in the immediate aftermath of his first fight with Benn.<\/p>\n

And Eubank Jr’s promoter Ben Shalom previously told talkSPORT that his client hasn’t committed to a rehydration clause for the rematch.<\/a><\/p>\n

“We\u00a0aren\u2019t\u00a0happy with the rehydration clause,” said Shalom in September.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the fights not happening unless this [is agreed].\u00a0<\/p>\n

“So Chris is in a difficult position then, everything had been agreed. Everything.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019d\u00a0gone through the contract,\u00a0we\u2019d\u00a0done every single clause, then we get to the last moment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“It was, if I remember, maybe just before the press conference and then it landed on us as an ultimatum like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the end, Chris is a money man, and he accepted the\u00a0challenge. <\/p>\n

“Is\u00a0it healthy? Is it right? Should it be banned from boxing?
