Teddy Atlas<\/a> has spoken about the potential trilogy fight between Tyson Fury<\/a> and Oleksandr Usyk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fury is currently retired but recently announced he was keen to fight Usyk for a third time in 2026 at Wembley Stadium.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 has already twice lost to the Ukrainian. First was in May 2024 for the undisputed heavyweight championship, then came the rematch in December which went the same way and led to Fury to make the announcement that he was hanging up his gloves.<\/p>\n

Usyk recently became a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion by beating Daniel Dubois inside five rounds having already stopped him back in August 2023. Post-fight, he mentioned Fury\u2019s name as a potential opponent for what would likely be his final fight.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his own YouTube channel before the Dubois win<\/a>, Atlas passionately outlined why he doesn\u2019t think Fury and Usyk should fight again.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t wanna see it, I\u2019ll tell you why. I\u2019ve seen enough. I\u2019ve seen Usyk beat Fury. I loved them both and they have done nothing but good for boxing and their family and themselves. They\u2019re tremendous, they\u2019re warriors, everything. I don\u2019t wanna see it no more. Usyk won twice. The first one could have been a knockout if he didn\u2019t hold himself back when Fury went down. He could have put that final blow in that would have hurt him. Been there, done that, seen that movie, don\u2019t make another one.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a lifetime boxing guy but as a parent and a grandparent, I think both these guys are getting very close to the end of what God gave them. I wanna see Usyk win the Dubois fight, if he gets through it, and walk off into the sunset and enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many agree with Atlas that now is the time to hang up the gloves, however it can be a hard case to make given how in-form he looked against young Dubois.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Teddy Atlas has spoken about the potential trilogy fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
