A beloved Stranger Things<\/a> character will return in Season 5; although, they might be returning in a pretty dark way.<\/p>\n

Stranger Things Season 5<\/a> will be the final entry in the popular Netflix<\/a> show. Created by Ross<\/a> and Matt Duffer<\/a>, also known as the Duffer Brothers<\/a>, the show stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven\/Jane Hopper, and Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler.<\/p>\n

Who is returning in Stranger Things Season 5?<\/p>\n

In a recent article from Time Magazine<\/a>, it has been revealed that Barb will be back in Stranger Things Season 5 \u2014 or, at least, Barb\u2019s body will be back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m exploring a tunnel on the set in Atlanta when I nearly trip over Barb\u2019s body,\u201d the article states. \u201cCovered in inky black vines made partly of spray-painted pool noodles, the dummy\u2019s lips purple and slightly agape with a giant bleeding gash on her neck, the fan-favorite character is half buried in the ground. Like Will, Nancy\u2019s friend Barb (Shannon Purser<\/a>) was pulled into the Upside Down in Season 1. Unlike Will, she never made it back.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Barb\u2019s role in Stranger Things Season 1 is relatively brief, her sudden death resulted in #JusticeForBarb and #ImWithBarb going viral, as many fans were sad to see her killed off so abruptly. The Duffers said that, at the time, they were surprised by this reaction.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe one note that we consistently got back was, \u2018What about Barb?\u2019 And we\u2019re like, \u2018It\u2019s a show about Will,\u2019 said Ross.<\/p>\n

Matt added, \u201cNetflix kept harassing us about it. And it turns out they were right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe neglected her, and as such, Hawkins neglected her, and it made her that much more famous,\u201d Ross continued.<\/p>\n
