Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have given their verdicts on the upgrade that Ferrari have brought to the Belgian Grand Prix, with the SF-25 set to run a revised rear suspension.<\/p>\n
Following the introduction of a new floor in Austria, the Scuderia have brought another new part for the weekend ahead<\/a> at Spa-Francorchamps, something that the team looked to have tested during a session at Mugello earlier this week.<\/p>\n When asked during Thursday\u2019s media day in Belgium<\/a> about how different the car felt in those laps with the new rear suspension, Hamilton<\/a> responded: \u201cThe same as before.\u201d<\/p>\n Pushed further on whether the weekend ahead might be where the team discover what the car is capable of, the seven-time World Champion said: \u201cNo. Firstly we\u2019ll get to test the suspension tomorrow and I\u2019m sure there\u2019s going to be learnings from it.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll kind of figure out how to finetune it and to try to extract performance from it. On the simulator there\u2019s no difference, but I\u2019m sure across different circuits perhaps there\u2019ll be benefits. I think for me the positive thing is arriving at the filming day where you see that new bits are coming, you see that we are getting development.<\/p>\n \u201cIn general we had an upgraded floor in Bahrain, then it was quite some time before we got another upgrade, I think it was Austria, so pace-wise it wasn\u2019t necessarily what I would have thought we would have.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you look at some of the other teams, they bring small pieces every weekend. Red Bull<\/a> often do and Mercedes<\/a> do, for example, whereas these are more like big chunks along the way.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I was just really happy to see that there clearly is a big pushback at the factory, there are a lot of changes, and then to see the results with those changes takes time, so I was just really grateful to see we\u2019ve got new parts. We\u2019ll try and put them to use this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n Leclerc<\/a> was also cautious when asked if the revised rear suspension could help Ferrari<\/a> to move closer to winning this year.<\/p>\n \u201cIs it going to be the change? I would be careful of saying that,\u201d the Monegasque responded. \u201cI think it\u2019s a change, and it\u2019s a change that is going in the right direction.<\/p>\n
