Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a> has shared a new photo taken from the set of Dune 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dune 3, also known as Dune: Part Three<\/a>, is the forthcoming sequel to 2021\u2019s Dune<\/a> and 2024\u2019s Dune: Part Two<\/a>. Once again being directed by Denis Villeneuve<\/a> (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049), the film will see Chalamet reprise his role as Paul Atreides.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram<\/a> story, Chalamet shared a new Dune 3 set photo. While it doesn\u2019t give away too much in terms of plot, it does show a vast desert landscape that takes fans of the franchise back to the planet of Arrakis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What else do we know about Dune 3?<\/p>\n

Based on Frank Herbert\u2019s 1969 novel Dune Messiah<\/a>, the cast of Dune: Part 3 further includes Zendaya as Chani, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides, among others<\/p>\n

A description of Herbier\u2019s novel reads, \u201cDune Messiah\u00a0continues the story of Paul Atreides, better known\u2014and feared\u2014as the man christened Muad\u2019Dib. As Emperor of the known universe, he possesses more power than a single man was ever meant to wield. Worshipped as a religious icon by the fanatical Fremen, Paul faces the enmity of the political houses he displaced when he assumed the throne\u2014and a conspiracy conducted within his own sphere of influence. And even as House Atreides begins to crumble around him from the machinations of his enemies, the true threat to Paul comes to his lover, Chani, and the unborn heir to his family\u2019s dynasty\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Dune 3 is expected to arrive in United States theaters and IMAX on December 18, 2026, from Warner Bros. Pictures<\/a>.<\/p>\n
