Tesco<\/a> has recalled its own-label<\/a> Free From Gluten & Wheat Breadcrumbs because they contain gluten.<\/p>\n This means the product is a possible health<\/a> risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease.<\/p>\n All batch codes and best before dates of the 170g pouches are affected.<\/p>\n Tesco has posted a notice in stores, urging shoppers who have an allergy or intolerance to wheat who have purchased the affected product not to eat it.<\/p>\n Instead, they should return it to any Tesco store for a full refund, the notice advises. No receipt is required.<\/p>\n For further enquiries, shoppers can visit the Contact page of the supermarket<\/a>\u2019s website.<\/p>\n The FSA<\/a> said it had advised Tesco to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re sorry for any inconvenience,\u201d said Tesco.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the only product recall Tesco has issued to shoppers over recent weeks. The supermarket last month issued a recall of its own-label Stir Fry Tikka Chicken<\/a> meal 650g after undeclared egg<\/a> and mustard were discovered in the sauce sachet.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Tesco recalled\u00a0a toy that featured on a Peppa Pig magazine because of the choking hazard it posed to children under three.<\/p>\n Issue 419 of the magazine, which went on sale on 17 September and was intended for children aged three to seven years old, came with a set of plastic<\/a> keys.<\/p>\n
