Derrick Findley has never backed down from a challenge.<\/p>\n
The Chicago product always fought the toughest opponents available throughout his extended professional gloved boxing career. His battle-tested record of 36-31-1 includes 25 wins by KO. He fought for several belts, including the World Boxing Council U.S.A. middleweight title and the Universal Boxing Federation All-American super-middleweight title.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy record shows that I\u2019ve always fought nothing but the toughest; I\u2019ve never tried to get any easy fights at all,\u201d Findley says.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy goal was always to get to the top, and I believe the only way to get there is by taking on the best of the best.\u201d<\/p>\n
Findley\u2019s philosophy has carried through to his BKFC career. He returns to the Squared Circle against more elite competition \u2014 Cameron VanCamp \u2014 in the Co-Main Event of Saturday\u2019s action at Horseshoe Hammond in Hammond, IN, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.<\/p>\n
The six-time BKFC vet Findley has won two of his last three fights, including a December victory over fan-favorite Joe Elmore in Elmore\u2019s hometown of Atlanta, GA. Findley is hungry to rebound from his most recent trip to the Squared Circle \u2014 his April loss to Bryce Henry in Omaha, NE. Henry is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous fighters on the BKFC roster and fights Roderick Stewart in the Main Event of Saturday\u2019s offering in Hammond.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve never been worried about anybody when I step in there. A man is a man, you know what I mean? I don\u2019t care what your reputation is, or your record,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
\u201cNone of that matters to me. If you\u2019re a fighter, you\u2019re a fighter.\u201d<\/p>\n
Findley is gunning for his third stoppage victory in the BKFC Squared Circle on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy goal is to knock him out,\u201d he offers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t study my opponents or anything like that. I just get in there and whatever happens, happens. But, personally, I think I\u2019m going to knock him out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Findley isn\u2019t looking past his hotly anticipated matchup with VanCamp, but he still has big goals with BKFC.<\/p>\n
