Having announced last week that he would leave Castleford Tigers, Innes Senior has found a new club for 2026, and will join Leigh Leopards for the next two seasons.<\/p>\n

The Tigers confirmed on October 9 that Senior would be exiting the Onebore Stadium<\/a>, as he went on to \u201cpursue playing opportunities elsewhere\u201d. That new venture has now been confirmed, with the 25-year-old moving to the Leopards, where he will work under Adrian Lam for the next part of his career.<\/p>\n

The twin brother of Louis Senior, Innes is an Irish international who will add strong depth to the Leigh back line. Able to play on the wing or at centre, the 6\u20194 speedster started his career at Huddersfield Giants in 2018, and has scored 56 tries in 125 Super League appearances.<\/p>\n

He becomes the Leopards\u2019 third signing for 2026, after the club have already announced the arrivals of NRL man Jacob Alick-Wiencke<\/a> and St Helens youngster Oliver Polec.<\/p>\n

Senior\u2019s versatility is a key asset to his game, and should he impress the Leopards coaches enough in pre-season, could even earn a starting jersey, with the number two shirt up for grabs at the club, following Darnell McIntosh\u2019s departure to the Tigers.<\/p>\n

Incomings at the Tigers such as McIntosh, as well as Semi Valemei and Mikaele Ravalawa mean that opportunities would have been hard to come by at the West Yorkshire outfit, and he will hope that a move across the Pennines will give him more of a chance at first-team action.<\/p>\n

Senior gave an interview to Leigh\u2019s official club media<\/a>, and it\u2019s fair to say he can\u2019t wait for what lies ahead. After putting pen to paper until the end of 2027, the 25-year-old is ready to get stuck in.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI am just buzzing to get it over the line. After that first conversation, my heart was set on it I am just really excited.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo go to a club like this, and the way, you\u00a0play. You move the ball, you\u2019ve got great outside backs already. You got the biggest assist maker in the league as well. There\u2019s so many reasons for this move to be a good one.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a massive opportunity for me, and I\u2019m ready to take it. So, I\u2019m just really excited to play 1760873946. You see, there\u2019s a really positive buzz about the place and I can\u2019t wait to meet everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coach Lam also gave a glowing report of his new signing, admitting he has been an admirer of Senior for a while.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI have been a big fan of Innes over the years. He has the X factor about him and he can break tackles at will when he is playing confidently and at the top of his game.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis genuine speed is certainly an asset that we welcome into our squad and his ability to score tries and long-range tries is what we are all looking forward to.<\/p>\n
