Police are investigating reports a teenage girl was threatened and raped by a man in a park last night.<\/p>\n
Forensics teams remain at the scene of the incident near Belgrave Road in Tunbridge Wells, with detectives appealing for witnesses to come forward.<\/p>\n

It was reported the girl was sexually assaulted by an unknown man between 8pm and 9.45pm.<\/p>\n
Police say he approached the girl as she was walking home along Victoria Road.<\/p>\n
They walked together towards Mount Ephraim Road, at which point it is alleged the man took the victim into a park and made threats before raping her.<\/p>\n
The suspect is described as about 5ft 8in and in his mid-30s.<\/p>\n
He has dark hair, worn in a bun, a short beard and a moustache. He was wearing a blue jacket and was travelling on a bicycle with thick tyres at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n
Officers are continuing to pursue several enquiries to establish the full circumstances, including forensic analysis at the scene, checks for CCTV opportunities and extensive house-to-house enquiries.<\/p>\n
Police remain in the area while investigations are underway.<\/p>\n
