href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/debbie-harry\/\">Debbie Harry<\/a> has an idea for a movie about her own life and musical legacy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/blondie\/\">Blondie<\/a> frontwoman recently revealed <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/florence-pugh\/\">Florence Pugh<\/a> as the \u201cgreat actor\u201d she would love to portray her in a <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/biopic\/\" id=\"auto-tag_biopic\" data-tag=\"biopic\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">biopic<\/a>, and the Oscar-nominated actress has previously expressed interest in playing Harry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cIf it were somebody like Florence Pugh, I would be in heaven,\u201d Harry told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/culture\/music\/article\/debbie-harry-80-interview-blondie-chris-stein-no-exit-reissue-vcqvgg8mj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Sunday Times<\/a>. \u201cI just think she\u2019s a great actor and she could do anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPugh has also campaigned to play Harry, when asked what famous figures she would like to portray. \u201cBlondie, just because she\u2019s so cool,\u201d said the actress at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in 2020, according to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/debbie-harry-reveals-dream-actress-for-blondie-biopic-florence-pugh-11832516\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAlthough known for her roles in the MCU and films like Midsommar (2019), Don\u2019t Worry Darling (2022) and We Live in Time (2024), Pugh is also a musician, performing cover songs under the name Flossie Rose as a teenager on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@fp679\">YouTube<\/a>.Ha<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWith Pugh also appearing on her musician brother Toby Sebastian\u2019s 2021 song \u2018<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/0sMcVB2TCQA\">Midnight<\/a>\u2018, as well as writing and performing the songs \u2018The Best Part\u2019 and \u2018I Hate Myself\u2019 for her 2023 movie <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/a-good-person\/\">A Good Person<\/a>, perhaps she already has the vocal chops to take on the \u2018Call Me\u2019 artist\u2019s biopic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHarry\u2019s casting nomination comes after she released Face It: A Memoir in 2019, charting her rise in the downtown New York City scene of the 1970s to become a global superstar, as well as how she overcame heroin addiction, bankruptcy and Blondie breaking up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBack in 2007, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/kirsten-dunst\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Kirsten Dunst<\/a> said she <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/lifestyle\/actress-dunst-hopes-to-play-debbie-harry-idUSN15452528\/\">met with Harry<\/a> about a biopic that never came to
