Zack Polanski has fired back at Jeremy Clarkson after he mocked the Green Party<\/a> leader\u2019s teeth.<\/p>\n The 42-year-old politician, who has overseen an 80% rise in membership for the party to overtake the Tories since being appointed leader last month<\/a>, has responded after the Clarkson\u2019s Farm<\/a> presenter took aim in a new column.<\/p>\n Mr Polanski wrote on Instagram<\/a>: I\u2019ve got lots of things to say about Jeremy Clarkson. Really not worth it. He knows his game is over and so is resorting to personal attacks.\u2019<\/p>\n Instead, he urged his followers to \u2018p**s him off instead\u2019 by signing up to the Green Party.<\/p>\n In his new column for the Sunday Times<\/a>, the former Top Gear<\/a> host began the piece by comparing Polanski\u2019s looks to late Pogues legend Shane MacGowan<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2018I\u2019m greatly amused by Zack Polanski, who is the newly elected leader of the Green Party,\u2019 Clarkson wrote.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \u2018He is constantly banging on about how he\u2019s going to sort out the country, and I just sit there thinking, \u201cMate, you can\u2019t even sort out your own teeth\u201d.<\/p>\n \u2018Honestly, it looks like he takes a picture of Shane MacGowan to the dentist.\u2019<\/p>\n The column comes just over a week after Clarkson hinted at making his own venture into politics<\/a>, as the Grand Tour<\/a> star suggested he could stand in his local constituency.<\/p>\n He wrote on X: \u2018People of Doncaster North. Are you happy with your MP Would you like it if someone from your neck of the woods kicked him out?\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t Over the weekend Ed Miliband, Doncaster North\u2019s Labour MP, was asked about the post and insisted he welcomes \u2018all comers\u2019 to challenge him for the seat.<\/p>\n \u2018I think he is a sort of long-standing aspirant to my seat. I think he said in 2013 that he was going to contest my seat,\u2019 the Energy Secretary told Sky News<\/a>\u2019 Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips.<\/p>\n \u2018So look, it\u2019s for other people to decide if they want to stand for Parliament<\/a>, including in my seat. I welcome all comers. Let\u2019s see what happens.\u2019<\/p>\n Elsewhere in his column about Polanski, Clarkson criticised his calls for a 1% tax on the UK\u2019s billionaires, while referring to the party leader as \u2018Captain Teeth\u2019 and \u2018Teeths\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t On the same day, the politician said Greens now have 125,000 members, putting them behind Labour and Reform UK in terms of membership.<\/p>\n He told the BBC: \u2018People are feeling hope, they can hear that I\u2019m talking about the fact people\u2019s wages aren\u2019t high enough, the cost of living is too high.<\/p>\n \u2018What we really need to do is tackle the inequality at the heart of our society.
