Oscar De La Hoya<\/a> has backed a boxing legend to knock out pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford<\/a> in an intriguing fantasy showdown.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford cemented his place in the boxing history books last month when he defeated Mexican superstar Canelo<\/a> Alvarez to capture the undisputed super-middleweight championship in their historic clash at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old from Nebraska put on an outstanding display against Canelo to become the first male fighter ever to win an undisputed world championship in three weight classes, a feat he has already accomplished at super-lightweight and welterweight.<\/p>\n

Another legendary fighter who has enjoyed considerable success during their campaign at welterweight is Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao<\/a>, who has captured a version of the world title at 147lbs on four occasions during his professional career to date.<\/p>\n

In a feature with Mail Sport<\/a>, legendary fighter-turned-promoter De La Hoya, who was beaten by \u2018PacMan\u2019 back in 2008, was asked to predict the outcome of a fantasy clash between his former rival and \u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford.<\/p>\n

Pacquiao made a sensational return to the ring back in July after taking a four year hiatus from the sport, fighting to a majority draw against reigning WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
